The Rear Derailier moves the chain up and down on the rear gear The front derailier moves the chain up and down the front gear "Clipless" pedals - a few tumbles and almost anyone can master these things The seat- A high quality seat makes all the difference after two or three hours in the saddle Water cages - very important for hydration Rear brakes- keep these in tip top shape, for those grade 12 descents! Handle bars with gel tape - your hands will thank you! Aero bar with arm rests- nice for long straight-aways! Frame- Full carbon is pricey, but very forgiving on bumpy rides Gear shifters and brake levers Wheels - a good set can last 2,000 miles
