As of January 1, 2011, Wisconsin Act 86 prohibits the disposal of used oil absorbent materials in landfills. Be in full compliance with this ban by utilizing the SorbIts® system for your facility and field service personnel. ITU

What Is Oil Absorbent Material?
“Oil absorbent material” refers to any product that is used to absorb waste oil from any source. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource’s (DNR) definition of oil absorbent material includes: granular “kitty litter” absorbents; oil-dry cloths, rags and wipes; paper toweling; and absorbent pillows, socks, pigs and pads.
What Is Waste Oil?
“Waste oil” is defined as petroleum-derived or synthetic oil
that has been used or spilled, such as: engine oils, transmission fluid, metalworking fluids and oils, hydraulic fluid, and industrial process oils.
